Creating A Seeker

"…bloody Seekers… you tell them there's a deathtrap around the bend, they're the first one to run in, head first."

Introduction to the Seeker Type

Typically, Seekers are explorers, people who live to dig, delve, dive, and discover — never staying long in any one place. As such, those who stick to their small worlds of single villiages and the like often distrust them.

Seekers focus on Speed and Might, and like the Jack tend to not specialize in any one thing, but instead adjust to the needs of the moment.

Tier One Setup

Choose Your Background

Seeker Origins fit one of the following three backgrounds. This will not only give a bit of direction to your personal story, but will also impact how you earn XP and describe your Tier advancement.

  • Strange Experience
    • As a child, something happened to you that you couldn't explain, and you've been seeking to remedy that your entire life. The experience changed you, literally and figuratively, perhaps even physically.
    • Advancement: You improve yourself by finding new locations and exposing yourself the the potential elements of change there. You're the first to jump in that strange machine, or expose yourself to that strange energy — if you live, you come out even better than before.
  • Unnatural Fortitude
    • You were born part of a long line of people who simply were hardier, stonger, faster than those around you, built by nature for a life of adventure. You confront the terrors of the world head on — because how else will you learn how they tick?
    • Advancement: Your abilities are locked within you. You need to challenge the world, and extend yourself, to unlock them.
  • A Unique Attitude
    • You were born different. Raised in a small villiage or town, the elders tried to instill in you a healthy fear of the unknown and dangerous. You would hear nothing of it. What they wanted you to fear, you craved. Eveything they attempted to push you away from, you found yourself drawn to. Something deep inside you wants something… something great… and you know you can't find it in their limited worlds.
    • Advancement: Typically, advancedment for you comes from inner searching. What are you avoiding? What are you afraid of? Seeking this is where your next great breakthrough will come from.
